The daytime temps are sneaking up into 'hot' and the prime viewing season has arrived! These last days before the rains arrive are simply the best time to find our animals, catching them unaware as they slake their thirst at our many waterholes. The waterholes, and the twice daily drives, have provided consistently spectacular viewing as you can see from our sightings record. In September, Cheetah sightings were up, and caused a thrill of excitement to ripple through the lodge as these beautiful lithe and shy creatures are so rarely sighted. [read more]
