Trimos-Sylvac was established in 1990 as a family–owned business. Mr Fritz Kosa, the managing director, started this business based on many years of experience in the field of metrology and dimensional measuring applications. The company represents numerous reputable international companies in South Africa. The following companies are represented: Trimos SA - height gauges Sylvac SA - dial gauges and hand tools Hommel - surface roughness and profile measurement Ernst - hardness testers Kern - verniers and micrometers IBR - gauging Renishaw - probes and CMM software Wenzel - Manufacturer of CMMmachines TESA - Measuring equipment Wohlhaupter - Machine tools OGP - Optical measuring equipment by Optical Gauging Products We are in the process of acquiring a BBEEE certificate. Our current shareholders are Mr. Fritz Kosa and Mrs. Edith Kosa who both own a 50% share in the company. Including the two aforementioned directors their son, Michael Kosa, is also employed as the financial manger of the company. Trimos-Sylvac is not a SANAS accredited authority. We are agents for WENZEL Germany and as such are trained in the calibration and servicing of WENZEL and other CMM type machinery. We have both the expertise and the equipment to check and maintain this type of machinery. We do business with many major South African corporations such as Consol Glass, Transwerk, VW, BMW, RDM Naschem, SAA and Bevcan to name a few. We also supply several local agents with our products for distribution to the local industries and manufacturers.
