The first step was to become a qualified wildlife / tourist guide, which took four years of part-time study while working full-time as an office administrator. Balancing my day job with getting Imvelaphi Safaris off the ground took hard work and dedication. The next step, in 2006, was to register my company, Imvelaphi Safaris. The name IMVELAPHI is a Xhosa word which means: the route you travel to reach your destination. The name couldn’t have been more apt as my feet where firmly planted on my path to fulfill my dream.
