In the evening after a sunny day you will discover and experience what the word "Avondrood" means Our backgrounds in hospitality and entrepreneurship were ideally matched to help us realize our desire to make this beautiful country our base and from the moment our minds were set on relocating to South Africa it was equally clear to us that Franschhoek would be the place where we would run our guesthouse When we, Aukje Wouters and Jarno Keijzer, first visited South Africa in 2010 from the Netherlands we fell in love with the beauty, space and lifestyle of this country and only after having been in the country a day we looked each other in the eye and knew "We want to live and work here!
