• Description/Remarks 5.6 Media is a close corporation registered with CIPRO under the registrar of companies. Initiated in 2006 and owned by three previously disadvantaged young photographers.The location of this 100% black-owned and managed organisation is in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.  In its three years of operation, 5.6 Media has documented the lives of Africans widely with a particular interest on community development, women, and youth issues.5.6 media photographers are acknowledged for their hard work: Leon Sadiki claimed the prestigious 2nd prize for the Media24 Portraiture national competition (2008).  Paballo Thekiso won six photo awards at the 2009 Pro Foto awards
