Kerryn works with children from infancy and throughout childhood. She helps parents deal with food allergies, feeding intolerances, diabetes, obesity, constipation, poor weight gain, introducing solid foods, breastfeeding, fussy eating, epilepsy, autism, ADHD, cystic fibrosis and tube feeding. “Monitoring and maintaining a child’s growth and diet through sickness and health is key to ensuring adequate development – both physically and cognitively.”
Kerryn also works with recreational and professional athletes across a range of disciplines including, triathlon, off-road cycling, road cycling, swimming, cricket, running, rugby, soccer, gymnastics, golf and dancing. Her goal is to help athletes achieve their body composition goals, enhance their training outcomes, speed up their recovery and optimise their race day performance. “The amount, composition and timing of food intake can profoundly affect sports performance” – IOC Consensus.
A challenging area is paediatric sport nutrition. The demands placed on children these days are incredible; both in the classroom and on the sporting fields, it can be difficult to meet their extremely high nutritional requirements. Kerryn works with families to help ensure that their children are eating correctly to support and maintain their growth.
