BCF Wins DHS Mentor AwardWashington, D.C. (April 13th, 2017) – BCF was selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to receive the 2017 DHS Mentor-Protégé Team of the Year Award for its outstanding work in support of the DHS mission at the 13th Annual DHS Small Business Ceremony. BCF began mentoring one of our strategic small business partners, Strategic Alliance Business Group (SABG), almost two years ago. The award recognizes outstanding work in support of the DHS mission by SABG with the mentorship of BCF, including helping SABG win a TSA contract that BCF had as either a prime or sub for 10 years. In fact, SABG is one of only two companies who were awarded contracts in both Functional Categories for DHS Program Management, Administrative, Operations, and Technical Support Services (PACTS II), a major accomplishment of the Mentor Protégé relationship. In addition to our current support at TSA, BCF as a prime contractor within the last 5 years provided program management support to the Transportation Worker Identification Credentialing (TWIC) program, the Registered Traveler (RT) program, and the HME (Hazmat Endorsement) Threat Assessment Program (HTAP).
