Photography Courses In SecundaSix week beginnerscourse (SLR required): Six 3-hour sessions in the mornings or evenings,designed for the beginner starting with a SLR (single lens reflex) camera. Thecourse will provide the technical know how and the compositional skills to create an effective, high-quality photo image. The basics of professionals approach the fundamentals of lighting, lenses, shutter speed, aperture, composition, perspective, and set-up. Students will be working in a comfortable and professional environment.The course will provide how photography techniques and environmental factors interact to  create powerful,digital images. This is a practically and theoretically orientated course,      with weekly assignments to ensure the concept is fully grasped.

Philip Pansegrouws' passion for photography started at 6 years old when he acquired his first camera. He was a photographer in the army, studied at Free State Technicon for 3 years, obtaining a National Diploma in Photography. In 1995 he opened a Foto First and recognised the burgeoning need for photography courses. Now with more than 10 years of work in a hi-end camera shop he has acquired a vast product knowledge in both amateur as well as state of the art, professional equipment. He lectured at Pretorias' Open Window Art School for a year before moving to Cape Town where he continues teaching photography.
