The Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement (CME) directorate derives its mandate from the Constitution which guarantees everyone the right to a healthy and safe environment. The Directorate performs a regulatory function and administers environmental legislation NWA including Regulations to ensures that the environment is well protected.
