To help accelerate the growth of the business, Affinity Logic needed a new parent who would give the company greater exposure to the broader retail market, so in September 2003, the company was sold to the UCS Group The UCS Solutions Education Trust was established in 1999 and is one of the social responsibility initiatives sponsored by the company with the goal of supporting our staff and the greater community Affinity Logic became UCS Solutions The task of realising this vision commenced and started to gain real momentum and critical mass when Affinity Logic created “RetailNet”, South Africa’s first country wide MPLS network to connect businesses onto the Affinity Logic IT platform, including both Massmart and CNA who became our first two commercial customers Born out of retail, our company was founded when the Wooltru Group embarked on a strategy to leverage more value out of some of their undervalued assets
