Riaan joined Simeka in 2013 and is head of Simeka’s benefit consulting business. He is also a director of Simeka Wealth. Riaan obtained a B. Com Honours degree specialising in Actuarial Science from the University of Stellenbosch in 2000 and completed his actuarial studies in 2005. He is also a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Riaan has vast experience in actuarial and strategic employee benefit consulting work. He is approved as a statutory valuator by the Registrar of Pension Funds for defined benefit as well as defined contribution funds. Riaan held various managerial and executive management positions in employee benefit consulting businesses during the past 15 years.
