In the early part of 2014, Ditsong (Military Museum) contacted us via email with the wonderful story below and asked if we could refurbish Nancy to a standard where she was fit to travel and would be repaired sufficiently to withstand a UK inspection for temporary importation and museum display. Nancy needed to be fit for The National Museums Scotland, Edinburgh 100 year commemoration of the start of WWI display. This was a huge challenge. Nancy’s story touched our hearts and we refurbished brave Nancy without charge; it was the least we could do under the circumstances. Our carpenter, Frank Zangle, readily agreed to create a lavish, solid hardwood base also at no charge and Emiac assisted with the shipping.
