Khaya means “home” in Xhosa, the language spoken by the black population mostly in the South of South Africa.Khaya is a business which is founded by Martijn van der Put (NL) and Ellen A. Fischat (SA). Both have had a wonderful experience doing their internship overseas. Ellen did her internship in Port Elizabeth, South-Africa and Martijn did his in Paramaribo, Suriname.We know how difficult it can be to arrange everything yourself because of our own experiences.
