Welcome to our little bit of heaven on top of the mountain of Piketberg, just off the N7 150 km from Cape Town

JanuariesfonteinThis site is devoted to the flora and fauna of Januariesfontein, a smallholding on a northern slope in Piket-bo-berg. The name refers to the spring, or mountain ‘fontein’ which runs strongly year-round, even in January, the hottest month. Much of the area is pristine and carries a rich natural diversity of indigenous plants and fynbos.
