I bought a fortune lounge suite cash 30.december 2023 a month later u can feel the springs whn u sit down u can even see it. I reported the matter at bellville branch. The service is so damn poor I even said I will rather pay the difference for something else cz I don't want that poor quality suite again 2 weeks later they just come collect no communication nothing was made we must fone up nd down whr it's not our job to fone to get updates from the store. The manager and the sales person is so unprofessional the sales person even told the manager "don't worry im with u" and it's still bothering me cz why make such a statement in front of the customer. I later told the manager I don't want anything from thr store I want my money back. So now I'm left with a empty lounge and no money to buy a new set cz I have to wait for my own money from them they ddn wait for the money whn u bought the stuff. I'm utterly disgusted by the service and quality of Russels I won't ever recommend Any1 thr

I bought a lounge suite for R20000, upon arrival the single seater's arm rest was broken, the double seater was torn on the side. I reported the matter and waited over a month for them to get exchanged. Okay they finally exchanged then but with another factory fault , the single seater was not reclining properly and the double seater was also torn on the side just like the previous one. I reported the matter and for 2 months they were not communicating with me , we were calling them non stop. Now they say the are going to take the coaches for repairs, they are supposed to give me new coaches as the were faulty upon arrival. I currently do not have any coaches, in this cold we sit on blankets. They are not supposed to get them repaired they must give me new coaches, I can't be paying for damaged coaches that were not even damaged by me , they came damaged. I am seriously not happy with the way they are treating their customers.

Fridge freezer not working reported on 01/03/23. on 03/03/23 went to store asking staff to do follow up Ntosh said they don't do follow ups gave me complaint reference number. That was unfair, strange, uncalled for did not put herself in my shoes . It is a night mare not having a fridge in a very hot summer. I called Defy in vain. 2 weeks now still awaiting a call from Defy.

I purchased a TV from Russells Edenvale in May, its August now! i have been contacting the store, directly, telephonically, and via email, to no avail, I am paying for insurance for my TV, BUT I DON'T HAVE THE TV!!! Good day So bad Service from Russells on-line purchase, speaking to various persons for delivery and one cannot get a firm answer from any Russells employer. Rating even one star is not worth it. the Service from Customer Care is so Bad SHIONET service. surely the Operations manager needs to look into these matters. If i only knew of the SHIONET and Online purchase I would have not done this purchase with Russells. They forget that now with COVID-19 is is better to do online purchase rather that in store purchase, they even say that taking delivery cannot be done by the customer but they will deliver, but there no action from there side to give feedback. Russels Thabazimbi is the worst store you can ever purchase from. I bought a kitchen unit on 04.06.18 which need to be assembled by the supplier. I was told that they will contact them to arrange a date with me. On 12.06.18 I called the store and told them nobody has contacted me to come and assemble this unit. They only logged the call then. I phoned the customer line they gave me the number who will assist and they said the work will be done in 3 working days. That was then supposed to be done on the 15th. I have since then phoned every day up to 3 times a day to find out what the problem was. every single time I spoke to the Manager at Russels he was so not interested in helping me that I am now so annoyed. I want to take that unit and stick it up his ass. How can you run a business like this. He does not do any thing from his side to help. Only tells me I will phone them and see what is the problem. When I phone him again same old story. I will from my side never have buy there.

Went into Russels in Vrede today (24/11/2017) to enquire if they have any Black Friday specials on 80cm colour TV. The saleslady showed me 2 TV's (only 2 they have on display), one for R3000.00 and one for R3199.00. I asked her if that was the "special" price and she said the one for R3199.00 is 2-2 and it is a better TV than the other make which I actually prefer. I asked her 3 or 4 times if the price is R2200.00 in which case I would then buy one. She confirmed and I then proceeded with the transaction. When I handed my bankcard to the cashier and she processed the deal she told me that the amoumt is R3199.00. I feel that this is unacceptable and I cancelled the transaction, salespeople must make absolutely sure that they know the price and the customer knows exactly what he is to pay, she should have made it clear to me that the price is not R2200.00 as I understood it but R3199.00

When you touch it, it doesn't feel the same as the other ones. Yes it is a PVC but I didn't expect it to peel so horrible like cheap Chinese products. Furthermore, why is one seater the only one peeling! Now you tell me how on earth would you pay approximately R23 000 for this crap! My couches are not the same, the other one is harder, then two of them are softer. From my view, I was sold a cheap Chinese product worth a lot of money. I bought a sansui radio system and a stove but after a month the sansui had a volume problem then I reported and sent it to them in October then I stopped paying because they promised to return it. On January I went back to them but only to find out that they said its gonna be replaced because its discovered that the radio were having the same problem. Even now I'm still waiting for their call or delivery. So what must I do now ?

A few months ago I bought a lounge suite from Russell's and somehow got damaged whilst I tried to move it. The lounge suite is still under warranty. Russels Jabulani mall got a poor service,on friday i sent my cousin to pay off my laybye i gave him 2000 which i just withdrawn from the atm, when he gets there the lady that was helpingh him said she cant take the money becouse its the old R200 with Mandela face i was so suprised by that he gave me the phone to speak to the lady and she said the same thing to me then eventualy someone exchanged those 3 R200 for him and the bed was fully paid up and they promised to deliver on monday, monday came no bed tues and wed im still waiting for the bed i phoned then just now to chech whats wrong with the delivery coz i have to be somewhere they are telling me it will be deliverd on the 6th,these people they are so inconvinience i regrete buyung from them i will never this is disrespecting and taking people for granted

Before I made the payment I first went to your new branch that is opened in eMpangeni to get some advices they also confirmed that I can processed the payment. Last month i bought a laptop n fondi tablet at russels.then i have to pay R11423 for twelve months,bt on july month i got a loan at capitec n i settle my account at russels so i payed R7095.wat suprised me is tht the still deducting the installment money whers i finish to pay them,wen i went to ask the store no one helped me,the other thing they charge my R499 deliverycharge whereas I collected the laptop by myself.wen I ask they said if u a new client delivery charge is a must.n they also said I will get my money wen the account is settled nw my account is settled BT m still waiting for my money.I hate this shop they all liars.they want u to take n after that they will ignored wen ask something

I bought my self a Fondi Tablet, the fist month there was no problem after that month it just started showing blank and you can't even hear when someone calls you as the speaker is very soft. It's a mobile phone comes out like a tablet. However I've taken the phone in and they send it for repairs but I really don't want that phone/tablet anymore. I would rather take 2 other phones but I don't want that 2 Fondi Tablets/Phones anymore it's just a waist of my money paying for something that is not working right. There is a very rude lady (I think) at your Lawyers Office. She is not black. When she calls you she does not give you a chance to speak. This morning she called and I told her I will make payment tomorrow thats what I even told the person I made arrangements with that I only get money on the 25th. i hereby wish to lodge a complaint pertaining to my account at Russells, Andries Street in Pretoria. I opened an account on February 2014 with the intention to purchase sofas at Russells. in the process of capturing my information on the system the i told the lady not to include transport costs as i will organise my own transport and she agreed to that. But upon reading my contract when i get home I realized that transport at the cost of R701.75 was included whereas i have already organised transport for myself at the cost of R450. Then I came back the following day to complain, but a guy called Ferreira (manager) wrote on the copy of my contract that I have to refunded the R701.75 at the end of the payment term. Now i am only left with approximately R2100 to settle the account in full. What about if the R701.75 could be retained by Russells then I will only pay the outstanding amount to settle the account this month? I have already discussed this with the Branch Manager.

I opened an account on February 2014 with the intention to purchase sofas at Russells. in the process of capturing my information on the system the i told the lady not to include transport costs as i will organise my own transport and she agreed to that. But upon reading my contract when i get home I realized that transport at the cost of R701.75 was included whereas i have already organised transport for myself at the cost of R450. Then I came back the following day to complain, but a guy called Ferreira (manager) wrote on the copy of my contract that I have to refunded the R701.75 at the end of the payment term. Now i am only left with approximately R2100 to settle the account in full. What about if the R701.75 could be retained by Russells then I will only pay the outstanding amount to settle the account this month? I have already discussed this with the Branch Manager.

I pay via internet banking and have never missed a payment but every month I get sms's or phone calls saying that I have not paid and my account is in arrears.They keep as forcing me to pay via debt order which I do not want to do. I am so tired of promises from Russels Springs. We bought a Lounge suite, tubledryer, carpet cleaner and scotchgaurd from them on the 23rd December 2013. We paid R2000 cash as a deposit. I received the lounge suite on the 29th December, which was fine. Since then I were calling and asking for the rest of my stuff. On the 23rd January I called and said if we don't receive the tumble dryer by Saturday we are cancelling the deal with them. After calling several times it was delivered the 25th January. I called the Monday 27th and ask what about the rest of my stuff, on which they replied it will be the next week Monday's, week delivery. I paid another R2000 on the 1st February, still without my stuff. Today is the 5th February on which I called. The sales person is not in and the Manager is not available, as she is out. They will call me back. I am sure that I will never buy from them again. Last year I bought a freezer from OK and was delivered the same afternoon.

Esta said that set was discontinued. and we selected another set. same price of R18 999.00 they would come and replace it within next few weeks she promised. now 6 mnts and 6 payments later, the regional manager was also retrenched., the store manager can not do her job. empty promises. now they refuse to replace the set, as I am a bad payer?? russels is a bad company with incompetent managers

i have very disappointed with the service i received at Russells, i bought a TV and you delivered a damaged one it has been TWO WEEKS since i reported and to date you have not delivered it. the services you give is very Poor and does not meet the standard you set as a furniture store.

Absolute disfunctional people at the accounts. We are battling to sort out two accounts for the past 5 months. We have a debit order going thru monthly.but we still receive letters and phonecalls weekly to say we are in arrears!!! What a joke this is!!! These employees are totaly unprofesional and I am not supprised that my account is in such a mess, because the have no idea how to deal with customers. On 4/3/2013 I bought a white Defy 350L Freezer via Mr L. Bürger at Russels Vredendal branch. Delivered at my door within 7 - 10 days. On 6/3/2013 I paid R6189-90 for the item. I am still awaiting the freezer. I have to visit the store each week and phone them regulary as I did not receive any progress info as promised. The trips (40km return) as well as the telephone calls is costing me money. The attitude of the store manager is unbecomming and I feel that I was mislead and that it is a 'Breach of Contract'. My pensioner hard earned money would have earned interest in the bank. I paid cash for a bedroom suit which was meant for my wedding day when I arrive at my inlaws (East London, Oxford St store). To date it has not been delivered. What an embarassment!!! To make matters worse, they are neither willing to take my calls nor return them. I want my money back so that I can go and buy service somewhere else.
