Grant Allen is a psychometrist based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. He has performed psychometric tests and evaluations for individuals and corporate clients for over nine years
The way I see it, effective psychometric evaluations involve far more than just applying a test to measure knowledge, ability, attitude or personality traits. The real value lies in taking into account the whole person and their life in context, not just focusing on isolated behaviours or answers to questions. For psychometrics to be valuable means helping people to understand themselves better, to sort out what’s worrying them or holding them back, to identify ways forward with clarity and confidence and to remove real (or perceived) barriers to progress.
