Taking a walk with my mum at the Sirius Radio fête on the 30th September 2017, and just like many other people, visiting the stalls,we stopped at the Awqaf stall and still remember how patiently my brother and I waited for mum while she chatted away to uncle Farooq . It was here that we bought the 2018 SHAMSAAN PALESTINE'S children art calendar. Alhamdudillah reading all their stories and their pictures depicting their words of their struggle in Palestine, I was inspired by all these artists to do a painting on Palestine. Mum contacted the organisers of the PSA branch in Benoni and asked if I could paint and auction my painting. Alhamdudillah I enjoyed every moment painting knowing this was going to go the the children of Palestine, who were no different than I but their story was one of struggle,pain and hardship which made them forget their childhood and turn them into soldiers and fighters for the liberation struggle of PALESTINE!!! My painting took me 9 hours and was auctioned at the annual PSA walk for freedom on the 30th October 2017.
