​Joanne is one of the most respected and steadfast counsellors in the field of addiction and a pioneer of recovery in South Africa. ​Joanne has been counselling for 15 yea​rs and is an Accredited Addictions Counsellor NCAC with the FDAP and a UKRCP Registered Independent Psychotherapist. Joanne's autobiography ‘Woman Trashed’ was published by Penguin Publishers in 2009. Joanne worked for four and a half years at one of the leading treatment facilities in Johannesburg where she was Head of Counselling. Joanne is also a Reiki Master in three different Reiki disciplines -  Usui , Karuna and Lightarian Reiki. Reiki is very healing on many levels and is also very supportive to talk therapy.
