• Description/Remarks Ledlume Products was started in 1996 by Ginger Mumford and has since pioneered a number of projects from hazard warning lights in industrial plants to indication lights for nautical, automotive and aviation use. Ledlume Products designs products that provide customised solutions to meet particular industrial, commercial or private requirements. We design, develop and manufacture these products in-house assuring that our products are long lasting, robust and high quality. Ledlume Products specialises in the design, development and manufacturing of LED (Light Emitting Diode) Products. What is a LED? A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source. Appearing as practical electronic components in 1962, early LEDs emitted low-intensity red light, but modern versions are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness. LED products stand for durability and long life. The life expectancy for a non-flashing LED is much longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps, with 50 000 hours compared to 1 000 hours and 1 200 hours for incandescent and fluorescent lamps respectively. LED means maintenance-free operation. LED also means electricity cost saving, improved physical robustness, smaller size, and faster switching. LED’s emit a high brightness but run on a very low wattage.
