• Description/Remarks Dunc Ebedes hailing from a small seaside village in the Western Cape of South Africa. Overcoming addiction and depression 12 years ago, Ebedes began painting in 2023, quickly transforming his life through art. His work immediately attracted local and global collectors, marking a sensational rise in the art scene. ​In early 2024, Ebedes was signed as an up-and-coming featured artist with The Art Spread in Orange County, California. He also has a collection of six of his works showcased in the exclusive Art Brunch Gallery in Cyprus, Europe. In July 2024, Chris Apperley-Bennett, an art curator and photographer with an MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from London, invited Ebedes to showcase 40 works from his new collection in his first solo virtual exhibition, which successfully took place in early August 2024, selling 30% of his artworks exhibited in the opening weekend. ​In a remarkable milestone, Ebedes became one of the first South African artists to be listed on the prestigious Artsy, the world’s premier online art marketplace, exclusively available to artists represented by select galleries. Achieving all of this in less than a year of painting.
