The members of ProfitNet in Pietermaritzburg in 2009 are furious to report that the programme turned out to be a con. The project was funded by the British Council, with +/-R180 000 allocated to the PMB groups in 2009. We never saw a cent of that money and none of the staff were paid for the duration of the entire year. None of the operating costs were recovered or refundedThe fraudulent directors of ProfitNet, Professor Robert Taylor of the Leadership Centre, UKZN, and Shaun Gannon CENTRIM, Brighton University, made many, many promises and commitments to the members but honoured none of them. We never saw them or heard from them and we have no idea where the money has gone. We have lodged a formal complaint with both the British Council and Brighton University and strongly hope that the directors are brought to book for their offensive, deceitful and conniving behaviour. We, the members, would dearly love to see them arrested, tried and convicted for fraud. CAUTION!
