The main member, Maria Vidal has, in employment and association with Stafford Associate Architects CC, successfully completed world-renowned projects locally and beyond the South African borders. To date, we have completed numerous luxury lodges in the Southern African Region. With a diverse local and international Client-base, we have developed an excellent track record of delivery, professionalism and unique innovation. For example, Singita has twice been rated as top Boutique Lodge of the world by Conde‘ Naste Traveler and as the best destination for the years 2002, 2003 and 2004. Tsala Lodge, which was featured on SA TV’s Top Billing, has created extensive interest in the media and has been featured again in the House & Leisure magazine recently. The Zimbabwe Explorer states that “Pamushana is the most exquisite safari lodge in Africa - if not the best on the African continent ... it certainly is the finest in Zimbabwe” We are very versatile in our design approach and have completed developments within a range of budgets. We have the talent to create an exceptional development that is sensitive and suited to a specific site and we pride ourselves in utilizing materials, shapes and forms, which are indigenous to the area. We are presently working on several luxury Lodge Houses in the coastal Machangulo Estate, in Mozambique and a proposed new themed Recreational Diving Centre in Mauritius. We have recently also completed two 5-Star luxury Boutique Lodges in the Madikwe Game Reserve, as well as conceptualized designs for new Lodges in Warmbaths and Hluhluwe. Completed work in the hotel and resort sector has included prestigious projects such as the 5-star Royal Livingstone and the 3-star Zambezi Sun Hotels, at the Victoria Falls in Zambia. We’ve also undertaken various additions and alterations projects for the Southern Sun Hotel Group.
