FATS was founded in 1992 and is currently owned and operated by Caron Harris. In our 20 years in operation as a fully licensed Clearing & Forwarding company , we have grown from a fledgling company to a multimillion dollar organisation & this year shall be 21 years old. Under 1 roof you shall get a team of 48 staff members. This includes;

• An In-house Customs Department to ensure procedures through our border posts are streamlined & efficient by ensuring we have the most current Customs software.
• A focussed team of Key Account Controllers who develop a person relationship & are dedicated to track the movement of your cargo every step of the way. Most importantly they shall communicate to you on a daily basis the progress you cargo by email, delivering it to you.
• An energised Air & Sea Freight Departments who have established a brilliant relationship with all the major service providers in the project cargo industry.
• Coupled to this a dedicated team of 4 Estimators who diligently attend to each enquiry. Ensuring that every quotation sent out has been attended to in the most economical, cost efficient manner. Giving ourselves and our partners a better opportunity to secure Projects. Together with a dynamic team of Sales Executives who are HUNGRY FOR YOUR FREIGHT!
• These are all driven by a team of Management headed by our CEO who maintains a daily hands on approach. Our Management team have over 126 years experience in the industry & ensure that we are aligned with strategic service providers who add specialised industry experience to our resources.

We are able to provide our partners & clients with both a Road & Warehouse Bond facility providing you with the opportunity to sell through South Africa. Our International Business Manager, Li Xia is also able to communicate directly with clients & partners in Mandarin ensuring clear communication with our Chinese partners.

In 2011 Durban Port handled 62% of South African container movement & processed 30% of South African bulk cargo

Being strategically position in Durban we are able to become your Gateway to 11 Southern & Central African countries. We have been apart of numerous Infrastucture develop projects in our neighbouring countries. .Like being a preferred logistics provider in the construction of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, with a 4th phase of US$ 8Bn, a partner in the upgrade of the Zambian roads infrastructure. We have recemtly been involved in numerous loads of project cargo into the copper mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
