About company

We grow indigenous reedbeds / constructed wetlands to treat waste water from communities, farms and industries locally, nationally and in Africa. This treated water can then be recycled back into food gardens, landscaping, flush toilet systems etc. to limit toxins entering the environment and to re-use water thereby conserving this precious element. These systems are effective, affordable, odourless, beautiful and add to flora and fauna biodiversity.

The rivers of the Western Cape are dying due to people using them as a dumping ground for their unwanted toxins. 98% of them are critically endangered. Government is struggling to put in effective-enough solutions and so the responsibility for our environment is up to the individual, wether farmer,  factory owner or community. Waterlove Projects has been set up to help the treatment of waste water. Our intention is to use nature as our teacher and create reedbed systems that mimick wetlands - to hold water long enough for the foodweb present in the root systems of plants to break down pathogens without any polluting side effects. Harmful substances decompose into more useful substances that feed the eco-system of the reedbed AND the water that exits the reedbed is clean enough to recycle into your garden and home or into our waterways. This is an old technology with fascinating additions like flowfroms and effective micro-organisms (EM) AND it is cost effective!!!
