Source Seating was founded by Allan Hider in September 2002. The focus of the Company was to supply products to the local market - primarily via Brokers, Designers, Architects and Specifiers with the objective of being the preferred Office Chair supplier for mid- to large sized projects. Initially the market that was concentrated on was Cape Town /Western Cape where many blue-chip Corporate Head Offices are based. Due to this fact Source has won contracts that are country wide and has built up a Sales and Support network in all major centres. Allan Hider has been in the chair manufacture and supply industry since 1988 and has been involved directly in the manufacturing and distribution of office chairs, holding Senior Management and Directorships in one of the largest chair manufacturer based in Gauteng, South Africa. At this time he was directly involved in the localisation of German products that were licensed for production and distribution through South Africa from the German parent Company. This involved frequent visits to both the Research and Development and Manufacturing facilities in Germany. When one of the major clients held the distribution rights for Kloeber GmbH he was directly involved in the handling of the products that were imported for a large mining house and assisted the same client in the setting up of a manufacturing facility in Industria to produce Kloeber products. We have been appointed as the sole distributor for the Klober products produced in Germany and promote, import and distribute their high end products through our network. In November 2007 Source Seating moved to its own purpose designed manufacturing facility in Epping 2 - Cape Town. Our ranges continue to grow to suit the changing market. We pride ourselves on developing our workforce and through them providing relevant high quality products at a high level of service to our clients throughout South Africa.
