New Life Centre Unclaimed

We are planning to expand the extent of the skills development in the near future (e.g. computer skills etc.) We currently offer life skills training in beading, card making, and general housekeeping We have seen girls as young as 11 and 12 come in to the centre after a traumatic rape / family rape & abuse experience

A group of twenty men and women from a division at one of the banks two blocks from us arrived at 11am, loaded with all kinds of things! We were at that time having a craft class with Pat, one of our volunteers, who was very organized and included the team with our NLC girls and very quickly had them all busy with seed pearl mosaics. The team then served up a delicious spicy lentil soup for everybody, lots of snacks and coldrinks and some creamy donuts! One of the ladies from the team spoke, so very sincerely, about how pleased they were to be sharing some of Mandela Day with us and how much they admire the girls and what they’re doing, and grateful there is a place like New Life Centre to help.
