Kalamazoo Soccer School initiative started in 2005 by a young-man (Rev. Zama Yokwana) with a vision of a better community. The school is named after Dr. Steve "Kalamazoo" Mokone who is a first Black African to play professional soccer in Europe. Kalamazoo Soccer School is a charitable community driven organization, headquarters based in Cape Town, Western Cape Province, South Africa. Kalamazoo Soccer School it is the bridge that creates and provides possible access of the talented soccer players into Education and Soccer Development. Enabling young boys to achieve their goals and play a key role in addressing disadvantaged community areas needs. Kalamazoo Soccer School has an understanding of the disadvantaged community challenges, groups and individuals addressing them, and is dedicated to nurture future generations.
