Anel Annandale is a registered Educational Psychologist practicing from Summit College in Kyalami. As a child psychologist she specialises in full psycho-educational assessments and in providing therapeutic counselling to children and adolescents between the ages of 2 years and 21 years.  Assessments are all done on an individual basis and typically include an aptitude test, scholastic tests (assessing reading, spelling and mathematical ability), perceptual screening, personality test and emotional assessment.  School readiness tests are done to predict the extend to which young children will settle into the more formal environment of the Grade 1 environment.  Subject choice and Career choice assessments are instrumental in helping young people with their choice of a field of study and eventual career.  Child Psychologists use psycho-educational assessments in the diagnosis and support of children with learning difficulties (such as dyslexia, dyscalsulia, ADHD, etc).  Counselling services include both individual psychotherapy and play therapy for younger children.  As a child psychologist, Anel values confidentiality very highly and has a policy of not disclosing any information to a third party without consent from her clients.
