About company
History of the farm The Potgieter family established Rietfontein Ostrich Palace in 1879, and today the fifth generation Potgieters work here among the dramatic Red Stone Hills. The ornate Ostrich Palace was built in 1909 for the current owner's great-grandmother. Rietfontein is the oldest established ostrich farm in the world.
