Recruitment scams are a type of advance fee fraud in which fraudulent organisations or persons posing as recruitment agents or employers require advance payments from job seekers or ask them to receive and remit payments from/to third parties. Glencore has been informed that on a number of occasions, job seekers have received unsolicited job offers and interview invitations related to Glencore in which advance payments or payment transfers have been required. Any communication received of this kind should be treated as spam and deleted immediately. Genuine communication related to recruitment by Glencore will never require the job seeker to make payments at any point in the recruitment process.

Kelebogile Mangole how do we know that you are not working with the scammers. What if they told you to tell us what we need to know? I also got the email but the due date of payment(R100) and the the date we are allowed to call does not make sense. How can we pay before the 6th April and we allowed to call the Hr office from the 7th of April?

I've received an email saying my application was succesful at glencore xstrata, must wait for a call call today between 8:00 to 14:00 but i didn't am still waiting, wanna ask if this is legit, i also deposited R100 for accommodation, and training will start at 31 March 2016...
