  You are cordially invited to participate in a walk through a small mountain forest, situated in the mistbelt on the Northern bank of the Sterkspruit Falls. This excursion is limited to a maximum of 25 persons and can be accessed via the Dragon Peaks Resort by a guide only. This trip is packed with the following interesting features en route: • Sites where early Pioneers felled and hand-sawed huge Yellowood trees in deep dugouts around 150 years ago. Some of the few remaining large speciments with trunk diameters of around 2 meters can still be seen in the forest. • A Crowned Eagle’s nest can be seen in one of the trees en route. • Bird lovers will also find the Chorister Robins, Cinnamon Doves and Yellow Throated Warbler in the forest valley. • San Rock Art of around 800 years old, depicting the arrival of the Nguni People who brought Nguni cattle with them to the region, are found on rock faces along the route. • Best of all is to take a break along the way and experience the wonderful natural beauty surrounding you, which really is therapy for body and soul.
