The Company FGM Automation has been in business since 2002 servicing all the western and northern areas of Johannesburg and as far as Midrand. We supply and install only locally assembled well-known brands that we compliment with that little bit extra service to the client to make the operation of replacing or installing new equipment a pleasure and not a nightmare. The original transaction is only the start of a relationship with our clients that will go on for as long as the client requires our assistance.The Equipment FGM Automation only install well known locally assembled equipment. This way it is easy for us to offer after sale service without having to source replacement parts from other parts of South Africa or from other countries. Contracted this company in to supply and install 2 garage doors with automation. On the 1st day after installation, one unit fails. From there it became a downward spiral and things got worse. Numerous blatant installation anomalies was noted (and confirmed by the manufacturer) - loose bolts, screws not installed in some locations, hinges fitted skew, parts mangled to make them fit, no safety cable fitted to the tension springs, etc. Units failed again on another 2 occasions and each time one has to wait a week before you are fortunate enough to have Mr Maurer attend halfheartedly to the problems. After 10 months since installation, one door was damaged as a direct result of the poor installation and another uphill struggle begins. 5 months later, the only resolve was to take the matter to the Small Claims court, which ruled in my favor (as was be expected) and FGM Automation was forced to provide me a refund.
