The SADDT carries out its work in association with an extensive network of organizations of and for persons with disabilities all over South Africa Its purpose is to deliver benefits and create opportunities made possible by the positive policy environment in the country and the human rights culture which has emerged in our young democracy This paradigm shift is clearly reflected in the policies and legislation formulated by government in the first decade of our democracy
