In 1990 Greg Palm set out to address the need in the industrial and retail business sector for a Pollution Prevention service.From these small beginnings, the company explored new ways to deal with the threat of oil pollution and eventually produced a mobile service unit designed to handle oil traps found throughout the industry.In 1992, Shell SA were approached and offered a structured systematic service to its dealer network. Shell embraced the project and commissioned a regional survey of 50 of its garage sites in KwaZulu Natal. The survey results showed the need for a broad based service program. This led to a 1 year contract to provide a pollution prevention service to 247 of Shell’s sites countrywide.By the end of 1994 the project was completed and yielded a vast database of oil trap maintenance, performance and design information.
