In reply to Seba's review... I could not agree more with your review, Carol is an absolute gem. We have been weekly customers of theirs for 18 years and to this day - when we have one of their spits at our gatherings - our guests, neighbours and street salivate. Most importantly for me - in 18 years I have been stunned how clean and fresh the entire store is - they really have food down to a science! Funny, I visit for tea quite often too.

Cyrildene Fresh Meat Supply are by far the most talented butchers around. For over 30 years I have feasted on their gourmet-like-delicious south african/european style meat products. But the insanely delicious food is only half of the attraction. Carol, the owner, has service down to an absolute art. From my very first visit over 30 years ago, I have been treated like a close friend of the family - in fact its not uncommon to see other customers stay for a cup of tea and a chat on a saturday morning. Oh my, the biltong - you have got to try their biltong - I am pretty sure it would beat the pants off of any other who claims to be at their level of genius.
