Carel completed his articles at Macintosh Cross & Farquharson and joined Blake Bester in 2007. He advises mainly corporate clients on all aspects of employment law and industrial relations and frequently appears in the Labour Court and in labour arbitrations on behalf of clients. Carel also assisted with Standardbank Bank Home-loan foreclosures.He has acted inter alia for the following corporate clients: Fidelity Security Services, Group 4 Security Services (G4S) Standard Bank of South Africa, Mercury Media to mention a few.Carel has obtained a Post Graduate diploma in insolvency law from the University of Pretoria.
