Arum Place Guest House is a new stylish owner run guesthouse, set in a quiet area, positioned on the outskirts of Melville.
The suburb of Melville is extremely central, only minutes away from the M1 South, M1 North highways, 30 minutes from OR Tambo Johannesburg and 25 minutes from Lanseria airport, UJ (University of Johannesburg) is a short walking distance to the main campus in Kingsway (500m), WITS University is nearby as well as the broadcasting studios of the SABC in Auckland Park, Media Park, Braamfontein and Johannesburg City Centre. Numerous hospitals close by includes Milpark Hospital, Donald Gordon Medical Centre, Garden City Hospital, Helen Joseph and Charlotte Maxeke Hospitals (previously Jo'burg General Hospital).

My trip to South Africa couldn't have had a better start than my stay here. My room was very comfortable and the location was the best possible. The personalized attention from the owners and their staff made me feel right at home. I can recommend a stay at Arum Place Guest House to everybody. - Some people claim that Melville is far from the airport and from Jo'burg's main tourist attractions. In my opinion, Melville is the best place for a tourist to be in Jo'burg. Anything that is not in the neighborhood and within walking distance is but a short taxi ride away.
