He is the owner of Greenpepper Communication, a communication consultancy that has been producing corporate publications, printed and electronic for many years. Derick is a journalist by trade and is he has a BA (Hons) in Communication and an MA (cum laude) in creative writing from the University of Pretoria. He is editor of two agricultural magazines.
