Bronze Academy has a long and proud history. It started out initially as AIM Academy of Cosmetology in 2005 by current CEO Mrs Irmelind van Zyl and her business partner Mignon Wessels. They were situated in a house that they converted to a practical classroom with a separate theory facility. Originally they only trained modular classes on a part time basis. Then in 2006 the business became too big for the premises and they moved into a bigger space.“In 2006 we started our first full time 2 year course with 18 students, 2 practical classrooms, a theory classroom, boardroom, office and kitchen facilities. We also employed two new lecturing staff, who are to this day still employed at the new Bronze Academy.Since 2012, the Academy has moved to its brand new home in Pasita Street in the beautiful suburb of Rosendal, in walking distance from Tygervalley, about 20 minutes from Cape Town and 20 minutes from Stellenbosch.
