Maria Elliot Physiotherapy Claimed

Maria Elliot stems from Finland originally where she gained her 4 year BSc Physiotherapy Degree. After graduating in 2002 she moved to England to live and gain experience in her profession. She worked as a physiotherapist mainly for NHS based intuitions where she gained broad exposure in her chosen field and completed numerous courses. With a strong interest in the management of pain, Maria undertook a Master’s Degree in Pain Management through the prestigious King’s College of London which she completed in 2007. The following year she moved to South Africa where she worked as a Chief Physiotherapist at Grey’s Hospital in Pietermaritzburg and several other Durban based private practises before opening her own.

Maria makes use of a multitude of techniques including manipulation and mobilisation, massage, taping, exercise programmes, electrotherapy (eg. ultrasound) and in some cases acupuncture/dry needling in order to relieve patients of pain and allow them to resume with normal activities as quickly as possible.
