Bala Govender & Sons have served KZN and greater South Africa for over five decades with their special blend of photograghy and artistic flair. The organization has grown from strength to strength and has emerged as one of the largest digital laboratories in the Southern Hemisphere! Always at the technological forefront, the Govenders have kept pace with the vast changes in the photographic industry, so much so that their experiences and professionalism resulted in them being appointed official photographers for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference at the International Convention Centre in 1999. This crowning achievement gave them international acclaim and took the name of Bala Govender & Sons worldwide. Mr. Govender has seen many historic events like Chief Albert Luthuli winning the Nobel Peace Prize, a young Nelson Mandela on the run, the rise and fall of the National Party and, of course, the birth of the new South Africa. Finally he was given the opportunity to become a part of history, with the coveted assignment of photographing the Queen of England and develop her pictorial.
