Berg Studios specialises in bespoke wall and furniture coverings. Of most interest is their knowledge of antiquing and creating designs on the reverse side of mirror. Having spent ten years in London expanding her knowledge of traditional and modern materials, the founder of Berg, Janet Fryer, together with other talented craftsmen, are equipped to handle all decorating finishes, from murals to marbling, wood-graining to hand-painted wall papers. Gesso finishes on canvas, the likes of which South Africa have not yet seen, are proving very popular with the local designers and architects.
