Focus on Health was founded in 1999 with lots of enthusiasm and a basic business idea of providing health care professionals with medical information and services that work Our service was expanded to cover nine other professions and we started working with professional bodies to ensure that our service remains true to the principles of Professional Development With the introduction of amendments to the Medicines and Related Substances Act in 2004 and doctors having to acquire dispensing licenses, we were forced to create a new business unit focusing on dispensing general practitioners In the mean time, CPD was expanded to other health care professionals and our model of providing affordable, quality, self study material, that saves time and money proved to be successful
