The Vision Advertiser is printed and distributed monthly by The Vision Children’s Home.  The Vision Advertiser was first published in September 2001 with 3,500 copies distributed in an ‘A5’ size.  During September 2003, The Vision Advertiser experienced a huge increase in advertising, with total of 5,000 copies being distributed. Our advertising continued to grow and in March 2005 we printed 6,500 copies.  In June 2006 additional sales staff were recruited and a total of 7,000 copies of The Vision Advertiser was published and in this same period of 2006, The Vision Advertiser received a face lift. The front and back cover was printed in full colour and 8,000 Vision Advertisers were circulated.  Due to rising popularity and recognition during January 2007, The Vision Advertiser had increased its distribution to 10,000 copies. By June of 2007 – upon numerous requests from our various advertisers who wanted glossy colour adverts - The Vision Advertiser was printed as a glossy ‘A4’ magazine. The Vision Advertiser is in its 14th year of publication. It is distributed free of charge and has maintained its excellent standard of quality and consistent distribution. Currently a total of 10,000 copies are printed and 9,800 copies distributed throughout the Western Cape and Boland areas on the First Friday of every month via mosques and our advertisers’ outlets. We have a small subscription base and keep copies in our office for our donors/sponsors/visitors/potential advertisers. Being a free magazine does not impact on our distribution. Readership figures (50,000) is 1-5 readers per magazine – The Vision Advertiser is passed around amongst family members and friends and kept as a reference source/handbook. Our Readers are not confined only to Muslims, we have a few Christian readers as well, based on feedback that we have received in relation to articles. We have a diverse readership spanning the LSM levels which is LSM 4 – 10. The Vision Advertiser is aimed at businesses wanting to exhibit their products and services through a LOW COST, GOOD QUALITY and HIGH CIRCULATION medium with a life-long shelf-span due to the Islamic faith-based editorial content, Prophetic Seerah and general knowledge and other general issues. This is a niche magazine aimed at reaching the ‘spend’ of the Muslim population which reaches over R6-billion. Every month The Vision Advertiser features articles on topics pertinent to Muslims by striving to give knowledge in a practical and useful way. Our magazine is well received by the community and its supporters. It is our main source of income for the orphans and destitute children in our care. The demand for The Vision Advertiser Magazine is enormous and we wish we could double our current print quantity but our LOW COST-EFFECTIVE pricing structure for adverts does not allow us to do so...only you, the advertiser can help us achieve this.
