We are a green design practice. We aspire to support conscious lifestyles which respect the earth and all her inhabitants, through designing for the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and the planet. Each challenge is considered holistically, aiming to achieve globally, locally and personally appropriate design solutions for twenty first century living. Our buildings are designed to be water and energy efficient, thermally comfortable and made of natural materials as far as possible. We also try to maximise the use of natural lighting and ventilation in buildings, creating healthier living and working environments.
House performance varies across the spectrum, from very good to very bad. Incorporating any element of sustainable building practice will make a difference. Simply specifying the optimal eaves widths on a project home or renovation may prevent unwanted sunshine over heating your home in summer. This step on it’s own will improve your thermal comfort and reduce energy bills. All home designs include compromises but try to do what you can to incorporate good design features.
