Bohemia pop +/- 100 a small settlement 20 km south of Bloemfontein on the N6 est in the early 1920s on the farm Boscplaat (prior to the construction of the first Bfn / Cape town nat road) then called Bauhinia and later as a reult of the inhabitants from all over the world corrupted to "Bohemia" Since 1967 H.Q. for the since (2004) retired civil engineering Co Zach van Staden c.c. The settlement boasts a non-denominational church (Ken Brown Church) a community hall (cap 150) Filling station w/convenience store and general dealer, caravan park, flea market, auction site, a Classic car club and Truck Museum (veiwing weekdays only strictly by appointment) various other buildings ex the construction history as well as some 25 dwellings mostly constructed with material from the demolished (circa 1835) Kimberley station and occupied mostly by former employees.
