Abraham Devar's Academy for Music and Song provides music education in the following categories: classical music, blues, jazz, rock and contemporary techniques. Tuition is offered for guitar, piano, violin, viola, cello, kit drumming, bass guitar, alto saxophone.Theory of music is offered at our studios and by distance education. Learners register online and are coached by our online tutors. Examinations are offered with the following institutions: Trinity College London SA, Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music London SA, Rock School London SA, and University of South Africa. The examinations are not compulsory, many of our students learn for leisure. Abraham Devar offers Music Study Guides and Workbooks, which are of a high calibre and designed for the purpose of distance learning. Grades span 1 to 8 and culminates in the licentiate qualificationLearners may register throughout the year and write theory exams and practical examinations twice a year. Learners may attend classes in Benoni, South Afica for Classical, Rock, Jazz, Blues and contemporary styles in guitar, piano, violin, viola, cello, keyboards, kit drumming, alto saxophone.
