Welgemoed Primary first opened its doors in 1965 with 41 learners and 2 teachers. The school was housed across the street where we presently have the Pick ‘n Pay Centre.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere in which to nurture our children and to fulfil our mission of guiding our learners to develop their God-given talents optimally in a climate of security and love.
We are unique in the sense that we are a relatively small school, but we have been blessed with numerous marvellous moments where we could share in the joy of exceptional achievements by our learners across a wide spectrum of activities: academic excellence, sport, arts and culture, leadership.
